GPU CONTRACT SUBLEASE / B200 / B300 / H100 / GB300 NVL72

Sublease your unused GPU contract

Signed a reserved GPU term you no longer need? Idle GPUs bill the same as busy ones. We find a company to take over the unused GPUs for the rest of your term, so you stop paying for time you do not use.

When GPU contracts go unused

Reserved GPU terms run 12 to 60 months. Plans change faster than that. These are the situations we see most:

In each case the bill keeps coming. Placing the GPUs with another company cuts some or all of that cost.

Three ways out of a GPU contract

OptionHow it worksWhere you stand after
SubleaseAnother company uses the GPUs and pays you, or pays toward your bill, for the rest of the term. You stay on the contract. Your cost drops by what the other company pays.
TransferThe provider moves the contract to a new company, which takes it over in full. This is also called an assignment. You are released if the provider agrees to release you.
Rework the dealThe provider shrinks the cluster, swaps you to another GPU or region, or ends the term early for a fee.Depends on the deal. It works best when the provider has buyers waiting for those GPUs.

We work all three. Often the answer is a mix: keep the servers you still use and place the rest.

What your GPU provider has to approve

Almost every reserved GPU agreement needs the provider's written consent before you sublease or transfer it. Read your contract before you promise anything to another company. These terms usually decide what is possible:

We read these terms with you first. Then we tell you which option is realistic before anyone else sees the details.

What makes a GPU contract easy to place

Short GPU terms are hard to buy. AWS, Microsoft and Google sell reserved GPUs only on one-year and three-year terms. A team that needs a few months of capacity has few places to get it. That is what makes the rest of your term worth something.

How a GPU sublease works with us

  1. Send the basics. Provider, GPU model, GPU count, rate and months left. The form below takes two minutes.
  2. We read the terms. We check what your contract allows and tell you which way out is realistic.
  3. We price the rest of the term. We compare your rate with current published and quoted rates.
  4. We find the company. We match your GPUs with teams asking us for GPU capacity on short terms.
  5. The provider approves. The sublease or transfer is signed and the GPUs change hands.

Your company name is not shared with anyone until you say so.

If the commitment is colocation space or power rather than GPU cloud time, our sister site handles that. See subleasing colocation space at Colocation Scout.

GPU SUBLEASE QUESTIONS

Before you sublease GPUs.

Can I sublease a reserved GPU contract?

Usually, with the provider's written consent. Most reserved GPU agreements let the provider approve or refuse a sublease or a transfer. Check the assignment clause in your contract first.

What is the difference between a GPU sublease and a contract transfer?

With a sublease you stay on the contract and the new company pays you for the GPUs it uses. With a transfer, also called an assignment, the new company takes over the contract. A transfer can release you completely, but only if the provider agrees.

Can I sublease part of a GPU cluster?

Often, yes, in whole servers. B200 and B300 clusters split in steps of 8 GPUs, one server at a time. GB300 NVL72 capacity splits in whole racks of 72 GPUs.

What if my GPU provider will not approve a sublease?

Ask about other options. A provider may let you swap to a different GPU or region, shrink the cluster, or pay a fee to end the term early. In a tight market it may want the GPUs back for another customer.

Is my GPU contract worth anything to another company?

Often, yes. The big clouds sell reserved GPUs on one-year and three-year terms, so a few months of B200 or B300 capacity is hard to find. On-demand prices also rose 33% to 56% at Lambda and Nebius in 2026, so a rate signed earlier can be below today's market.
